In the group of sections “cotton mill” talks among the managers of technical units within the entire German-speaking area take place twice a year. In detail, there are reports about innovations concerning as well technical as economic topics in spinning. Managers usually appreciate especially the exchange of information on topics of current relevance.  

Within the department of yarns, the group of sections “worsted yarn spinning” is organised. In the meetings of the group of specialists, the experiences on the market and the situation of the international wool market and the EU-regulations about the rules of origin are central topics.

At the annual debate about technical issues within worsted yarn spinning, topics like research projects and results concerning wool are treated. The German worsted yarn spinners are represented in the technical committees of IWTO.
